CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Brostrom at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call
and notice thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Commissioner Wendy Brostrom (Acting Chair), Commissioner Tony Brown, Public
Works Operations Manager Dave Lemke, Director of HR/Admin. Services Rich Johnson and
HR Specialist Walker MacBeath
Absent: Chair Eric Galstad
MINUTES Commissioner Brostrom moved for the approval of minutes for the August 1, 2023 meeting.
Commissioner Brown seconded. Motion passed.
MAINTENANCE
WORKER
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed three
candidates for the maintenance worker position in the public works department.
MOTION After discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Commission Brostrom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Stephen
Goulet, Timothy Leick and Joshua Thomas were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared the following:
• The city received three responses to the RFP for a compensation study.
• The preferred candidate for the community service officer is currently in backgrounding.
• Krissy Barthel, utility billing clerk, started with the city yesterday
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
