CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Tony Brown, Police Captain Scott Slawson,
Director of HR/Admin. Services Rich Johnson and HR Specialist Walker MacBeath.
Absent: Commissioner Wendy Brostrom
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the June 27, 2023 meeting. Chair
Galstad seconded. Motion passed.
COMMUNITY
SERVICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed five
candidates for the community service officer position in the police department.
MOTION After discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Chair Galstad seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. DeMeshe Baker,
Andrew Nickelson and Aaron Robertson were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared that the city has released an RFP for a compensation study.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
