CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Captain Scott Slawson HR/Administration Director Rich Johnson and HR Specialist/IT
Coordinator Walker MacBeath
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the June 28, 2022 meeting. Chair
Galstad seconded. Motion passed.

DESCRIPTIONS
The board reviewed the job descriptions and noted that the two positions presented are both
specialist/coordinator titles, but the human resources position is exempt and the public works
position is non-exempt. Director Johnson agreed to consult further with the city’s Springsted
consultant and present to the board for approval at a future meeting.

SERVICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed six
candidates for the community service officer position in the police department.
MOTION Following discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates scoring 70 and above.
Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Martice Clark,
Hunter Greicar, Connor Mueller, Carissa Scherber-Hessian and Jose Soto-Ortiz were certified.

ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
