CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Director of HR/Admin. Services Rich Johnson, HR Specialist Walker MacBeath and Captain
Scott Slawson.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the April 17, 2023 meeting.
Commission Brostrom seconded. Motion passed.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS The board reviewed four updated job descriptions: police clerk, police officer, office specialist
and utility billing clerk. Director Johnson withdrew the utility billing clerk job description
from consideration until a future meeting. The other three were approved as presented.
POLICE OFFICER
INTERVIEW
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed one
candidate for the police officer position in the police department. One additional candidate
withdrew prior to the interviews.
MOTION After discussion, Commissioner Brostrom moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Chair Galstad seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Chelsea Smith was
certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS There were no announcements to be made.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
