CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Commission Brostrom at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call
and notice thereof.
ROLL CALL

Present: Commissioners Wendy Brostrom and Tony Brown
Excused: Chair Eric Galstad
Present: Police Captain Scott Slawson, HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson and HR Specialist
Walker MacBeath
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the March 1, 2023 meeting.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded. Motion passed.
POLICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and job duties and then interviewed three
candidates for the police officer position in the police department.
MOTION Following discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates scoring 70 and
above. Commissioner Brostrom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Mason DeMars, Steve Quinones-Narvaez and Eng Seng Tan were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared that a conditional offer has been made to the preferred evidence
technician candidate and backgrounding is underway.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
