CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.

Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown
Present: Parks & Recreation Director Susan Rader, Recreation Facilities Manager Mark
Severson, HR/Administration Director Rich Johnson and HR Specialist Walker MacBeath
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the October 26, 2022 meeting.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded. Motion passed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
UPDATES
The board reviewed and approved the accounting technician, contract manager/forester and
golf course superintendent job descriptions as presented.
GOLF
SUPERINTENDENT
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed five
candidates for the golf superintendent position in the parks and recreation department.
MOTION Following discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and
above. Chair Galstad seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Derek Oster,
Ricky Plemel, Ryan VerNess and Trenton Waters were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared information about the recruitment process for city manager. He also
shared that the city has had some interest in applicants for the personnel board vacancy and
will be sending out applications.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:53 p.m.
