Val,
More modifications to the list per discussions with Guy and Paul:
#9 Simon Delivers - They have a pond and also an onsite grit chamber. Both should
be on the list so they are inspected annually.
#11 Liberty Property - They have a pond and also an onsite grit chamber. Again, both
shoul o- i i d ins ected annually.

ast year, Sonnesyn Elementary complete parking lot improvements. As part o e
improvements, they constructed a grit chamber for their north parking lot. This sho
be placed on the list somewhere. I think this application was processed
.dministratively. You may have to contact Kirk for more information.
Thanks again for coordinating this list. We will forward additional information if it
comes up.

Re: Maintenance Schedule for V2B1 Stormwater Treatment Units
Dear Guy:
The primary purpose of the V2B1 Stormwater Treatment Unit is to remove sediment and floating debris
from storm water prior to discharge into waterways. Like any storm water treatment system, periodic
removal of captured materials must be accomplished to restore the systems full efficiency and effectiveness.
The recommended practice for the V2B1 is to plan on semi-annual inspections and annual pumpouts.
Maintenance requirements are dependent on the sediment load characteristics of each individual site,
therefore, some sites may require shorter pumpout frequencies. Sediment should be removed when the top
of the pile is within one foot of the normal water surface elevation(the floatables chamber must also be
pumped out).
V2B1 units have been installed on the following projects in your city:
1. Sonnesyn Elementary School
2. Safeco
If any of the above installations are not part of the city's storm sewer system,I ask that you forward this
letter to the responsible party(s). Private owners of V2B 1 units can contact one of the following for
scheduled maintenance:
1. Minnesota Utility Services 763-878-1409
2. Olson's Sewer Service 651-464-2082
Please call if you have questions.
Sincerely, (
