CALL TO ORDER Chair Meyer called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.

AGENDA APPROVAL Commissioner Isenberg made a motion to accept the March 7, 2022,
agenda, seconded by Commissioner London. All voted in favor.
MINUTES APPROVAL Commissioner Curry made a motion to accept the February 7, 2022,
minutes, seconded by Commissioner Isenberg. All voted in favor.
OPEN FORUM Electric Cars
- Will the city be installing charging stations?
o The answer is unknown at this time. There are some
charging stations currently available, ie Hy-vee
o The city of Plymouth is part of a program installing locations
around their city.
o Having electric scooters available around the city is being
discussed.
City Manager Replacement Process
- Discussion at a recent council meeting regarding posting the position
internally only or using an external search firm.
- HRC asked the HR Director for demographics of the current staff and
compared them to the most recent census data.
- HRC had discussion around this topic and agreed it was important to
have a diverse candidate pool that reflects the community.
- Chair Meyer, Commissioners Curry and Rehnke have agreed to draft
a letter to the Mayor and Council with the HRC’s position.
Cooper High School Girls’ Basketball Team
- During a game in New Prague, students and parents were making
derogatory and racist comments and gestures.
- ISD 281 has since announced it will no longer participate in events
with New Prague this year.
- HRC decided to extend an invitation to the team to attend an
upcoming meeting and they would be given the floor.
- Chair Meyer, Commissioners Curry and Rehnke agreed to draft a
letter to the coach, team and parents.

regarding the available student seats.

INFORMATION SHARING Police Department Website
- Police Department website was updated with the link to report a hate
crime.
Empty Bowls Fundraiser
- Cooper High School, Tuesday, March 8th, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, benefits
NEAR in Crystal and PRISM in Golden Valley.
No-Knock Warrants Follow-up
- From 2016 – Feb 2022 – 17 unannounced entry warrants were
issued in New Hope.
- Total Search Warrant applications during the same time period: 184
Total. DWI – 56, General – 125
