CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Police Captain Scott Slawson and HR Specialist/IT Coordinator Walker MacBeath
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the December 20, 2021 meeting.
Chair Galstad seconded. Motion passed.
POLICE CLERK
INTERVIEWS
MacBeath shared that one of the candidates scheduled for an interview with the board
withdrew before the meeting. The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties
and then interviewed five candidates for the police clerk position in the police department.
MOTION After discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates scoring 70 and above.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Melissa
DeLeeuw, Lauren Duffek and Eveling Mora were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS MacBeath shared the status of the police officer and CSO recruitments, as well as that the city
has received notice of resignation from one of the police sergeants effective Aug. 31, 2022.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
