CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Brown at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and
notice thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown (served as chair for this
meeting), Police Captain Slawson, Police Supervisor Jeana Allen-Hatcher, HR/Admin. Director
Rich Johnson and HR Coordinator Walker MacBeath
Excused: Chair Eric Galstad
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the July 12, 2021 meeting with
one correction: the first motion was to read “Commissioner Brown seconded the motion.”
Commissioner Brostrom seconded. Motion passed.
POLICE CLERK
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed five
candidates for the police clerk position in the police department. A sixth scheduled candidate
withdrew directly before the interviews began.
MOTION After discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Karen
Kruschke, Katlyn Linnell and Pankou Moua were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS The HR coordinator position is being considered for a change to HR/IT coordinator. The city
council will be considering a reallocation of the position funding to be split between HR and
IT. The community development assistant position is being considered for a change to a CD
coordinator/management analyst position as has been done in the past.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:38 p.m.
