CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Police Captain Slawson, HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson and Human Resources
Coordinator Walker MacBeath
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the Apr. 26, 2021 meeting. Chair
Galstad seconded. Motion passed.
POLICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed seven
candidates for the police officer position in the police department.
SUSPENSION OF
MEETING
Chair Galstad moved for the suspension of the meeting at 8:53 p.m. until July 13, 2021 at 6:00
p.m. Commissioner Brown seconded, motion passed.
MEETING
RECONVENED
Chair Galstad reconvened the meeting on July 13 at 6:00 p.m.
POLICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board interviewed two additional candidates for the police officer position.
MOTION After discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Matt
Chamberlain, Karter Gorney, Grace Hagestad, William Leon-Aguilar, Benjamin Rouse, Haley
Tushar and Nathan Walton were certified.

The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed two
candidates for the community service officer position in the police department.
MOTION After discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Thomas Bennett
III was certified.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The board discussed the updated version of the community service officer job description as
provided. No changes requested. Signatures will be obtained.
ANNOUNCEMENTS There were no announcements to be made.
