CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Community Development Director Jeff Sargent, Building Official Eric Hanson, HR/Admin.
Director Rich Johnson and Human Resources Coordinator Walker MacBeath.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the Mar. 10, 2021 meeting. Chair
Galstad seconded. Motion passed.
GENERAL
INSPECTOR
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed three
candidates for the general inspector position in the community development department. HR
Coordinator MacBeath asked all formal questions of the interviewees.
MOTION After discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Chair Galstad seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Chris Chandler and
Tom Evans were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared the following:
• Miranda Reed has moved from a part-time position as a police clerk to full-time.
• CSO recruitment is half-way through and six applications have been received at this point.
• Tom Lesnikowski will be starting as a police officer on May 10.
• NeoGov has been selected as the city’s applicant tracking and onboarding solution
vendor. The contract has been executed. Staff is working with NeoGov on
implementation.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
