CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Police Chief Tim Hoyt, HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson and Human Resources Coordinator
Walker MacBeath.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the Feb. 9, 2021 meeting. Chair
Galstad seconded. Motion passed.
ADMIN. SPECIALIST
INTERVIEWS –
POLICE DEPT.
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed three
candidates for the administrative specialist position in the police department. HR Coordinator
MacBeath asked all formal questions of the interviewees.
MOTION After discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates scoring 80 and above.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Brandi Hearn
and Lorilee Stafford were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared the following:
• An additional candidate from the certified list for police officers was given a conditional
offer and he is working through the process. Possible first of May start date.
• A police officer announced his retirement effective March 26, so we will begin another
police officer recruitment soon.
• General inspector recruitment is half-way through and the city has received four
applications at this point.
• He, MacBeath and a staff member for parks & recreation will be participating in demos for
an applicant tracking and onboarding solution this week.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
