CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:15 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Community Development Director Jeff Sargent, HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson and
Human Resources Coordinator Walker MacBeath.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the Nov. 23 & 24, 2020 meeting.
Chair Galstad seconded, motion passed.

INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed two
candidates for the building official position in the community development department.
Director Johnson asked all formal questions of the interviewees.
MOTION After discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates scoring 75 and above.
Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Jessica Archer
and Eric Hanson were certified.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Director Johnson shared the following:
• The city has received notice of another police officer retirement, which will leave the city
with two officer openings, if the final candidate with a conditional offer finishes the
process.
• The Council is also being asked to consider an administrative specialist for the police
department at their next work session.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
