CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
Acting Director of Police Scott Slawson, Community Development Director Jeff Sargent,
HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson and Human Resources Coordinator Walker MacBeath.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the Oct. 6, 2020 meeting. Chair
Galstad seconded, motion passed.
DIRECTOR OF
POLICE
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed three
candidates for the director of police position in the police department. HR Coordinator
MacBeath asked all formal questions of the interviewees.
MOTION After discussion and reviewing a compilation of weighted scores from all aspects of the
recruitment process from BCD consulting, Commissioner Brown moved to certify candidates
scoring 70 and above. Chair Galstad seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Tim Hoyt, Dave Johnson and Pete Stanley were certified.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:51 p.m.
