CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson, Police Captain Scott Slawson and Human Resources
Coordinator Walker MacBeath.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the June 9, 2020 meeting.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded, motion passed.
POLICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed four
candidates for the police officer position in the police department. HR Coordinator MacBeath
asked all formal questions of the interviewees.
SUSPENSION OF
MEETING
Chair Galstad moved for suspension of the meeting at 7:59 p.m. until June 18, 2020 at 6 p.m.
Commissioner Brostrom seconded, motion passed.
MEETING
RECONVENED
Chair Galstad reconvened the meeting at 6:09 p.m. on June 18, 2020.
POLICE OFFICER
INTERVIEWS
The board interviewed two additional candidates for the police officer position as one
withdrew after the meeting packet was distributed. HR Coordinator MacBeath asked all
formal questions of the interviewees.
MOTION After discussion, Chair Galstad moved to certify candidates with a score of 80 and higher.
Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Wahid Gul, Lee
Larson, Adam Link and Matt Root were certified.
ANNOUCEMENTS Director Johnson updated the board on progression with finalizing the administrative
specialist position candidate.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
