CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Galstad at 6:00 p.m. pursuant to due call and notice
thereof.
ROLL CALL Present: Chair Eric Galstad, Commissioner Wendy Brostrom, Commissioner Tony Brown,
HR/Admin. Director Rich Johnson, Community Development Director Jeff Sargent and
Human Resources Coordinator Walker MacBeath.
MINUTES Commissioner Brown moved for the approval of minutes for the April 14, 2020 meeting with
the addition of noting who asked the questions for the interviews. Chair Galstad seconded,
motion passed.

INTERVIEWS
The board discussed the interview questions and the job duties and then interviewed three
candidates for the office specialist position in the community development department. HR
Coordinator MacBeath asked all formal questions of the interviewees.
MOTION After discussion, Commission Brown moved to certify candidates with a score of 65 and
higher. Commissioner Brostrom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Kris
Bentson and Linda Bergemann were certified.
ANNOUCEMENTS Board members were alerted that the city has started the recruitment process for the
administrative specialist position vacated by Beth Kramer due to her appointment to the
communications coordinator position. Also, recruitment for police officers will start next week
as approved by the board previously via email.
ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
