Scattered Site Housing
Demonstration Project
The city acquired the distressed
property at 3924 Utah Ave. N. with
the goal of rehabilitating the house
as part of a demonstration project for
the neighborhood. The 1961 home
features a two-story home design that
is common throughout the area.
The city has invested approximately
$180,000 into improving the home,
which included removing a wall be-
tween the kitchen and dining room to
create an open floor plan and con-
verting two upstairs bedrooms into
a master suite/bath. The renovation
project included improvements to
nearly all interior and exterior areas
of the house.
After COVID-19 social distancing
requirements are lifted, the city will
host an open house for neighbors,
residents, and interested buyers and
the home will be listed for sale.
Contact Jeff Alger, community de-
velopment specialist, at 763.531.5119
or jalger@newhopemn.gov if you
are interested in attending the open
house or if you or someone you know
is interested in purchasing the home.

Off-leash dog parks
New Hope has off-leash dog parks in
Liberty and Lions parks. The seasonal
dog parks should open in May and
close for the season by the end of No-
vember. The areas are located in the
hockey rink enclosures in each park.
There is no fee for using New Hope’s
dog parks. The off-leash areas may be
used during daylight hours only. The
hockey boards provide a large, safe,
enclosed area where pet owners can
allow their pets to run and social-
ize with other dogs. Pet owners are
responsible for controlling and pick-
ing up after their dogs. Dogs must
remain on-leash until they enter the
dog park.

Rd., and will open for the season as
soon as allowed. The course features

Bike Rodeo May 7 Think before you flush
Please only flush toilet paper. Hy-
giene products, paper towels, and
wipes can clog your personal sewer
system as well as the regional sys-
tem. This can cause wide-scale sewer
backups. Even wipes labelled as
“flush-able” cannot be flushed. They
may not clog in your toilet or private
sewer system but do get caught on
equipment in the sewer processing
system causing blockages.
Baby wipes and other non-flushable
hygiene products must be disposed
of in the trashcan – never flushed
down the toilet. Even “flushable”
wipes can block the sewer and cause
backup into homes. Thanks for help-
ing protect the infrastructure in our
community.
Get on the Greens!

the New Hope Village Golf Course
(8130 Bass Lake Rd.) are great loca-
tions for your event. Tennis courts,
baseball/softball diamonds, and
soccer and football fields are also

Hope parks. Go to newhopemn.gov/
